Growing up with books

“Some day you will be old enough to start reading fairy tales again.”

This quote by C.S. Lewis plays on my mind time and again. If you’ll ask me of that one thing that has played a tremendous role in my life, I think it’s going to be books, without any doubt. It’s through stories that our parents/ teachers imparted us the first wisdom. Knowingly or unknowingly, we have indulged ourselves in the treasure of books.

Following the same line of thought, Buy Books India has started this month a campaign that focuses on the books that have been a part of our lives. And believe it or not, being a non-reader that I am, I can absolutely relate to these books. The Facebook page is currently showcasing the first phase of ‘Growing Up With Books’ and that is ‘Childhood’.

‘Alice in Wonderland’, ‘Jungle Book’, ‘Matilda’, ‘Mary Poppins’, et al – These characters somehow ruled our lives back then. Didn’t they? And here’s a catch as well. We are coming up with ‘Book of the week’ that will be the editor’s choice.

That’s not all. The page will also talk about other three phases. I’m so looking forward to it. Hope you’re as well!
Do check out the page and I’m sure you’re going to get hit by the nostalgic wave that Buy Books India is high on. 🙂 And also don’t miss the contest on the page.
Hope you have a fun time! 🙂
