My Take on ‘Murphy’s Law’

‘Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong.’

That’s what Murphy’s law says. And as negative as it sounds, if you’re an optimist at heart ,you can still draw positivity from this line. How? That’s a million dollar question; and once you crack it, half the battle is won. It all depends on how you see a particular situation. Remember a glass half filled-half empty. That signifies how optimistic you are. In the same way, if you take Mr. Murphy’s law a little positively, it’ll be a kind of lesson for you- a beneficial law.

Well, I’ve my own take here. Either you can take it frivolously and become a risk taker, or you can take it seriously and use it for any foreseeable risk. All depends on how you look at it. But then again ‘Genius is 99% hard work and 1% luck’. And FYI that 1% is way too important. Anyway, let’s go through how we can actually break Murphy’s law in our own favour.

Case I: When you take it frivolously as it already says ‘Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong’! So, what’s the worry here? Take out your risk- avenger self and get started with ‘Never Say Die’ attitude. Hold on… did I mention this requires using your grey cells too? Don’t just do stuff in the fit of the moment.

Case II: Taking the law too seriously! Yes, if you look at it from outside, it will suggest you to go home and take a nap. But if you look at it thoroughly, it’s an indirect reference to be extra careful while you’re going to take an important decision. Take both the pros and cons of a situation before leaping onto it. It prepares you by making you foresee an inevitable trouble. Again, the key here is to use your brain.

See, it all comes down to decision making. Attitude can be different but the point is to be always positive, no matter what.
